We will hold elections for troop leadership positions at the meeting on Feb 6. If you would like a leadership position please email me before Feb 3.

 

Please remember that by volunteering for a leadership position you are making a commitment to actively participate for the leadership term, which goes from March 1 through August 31. You are expected to attend *all* campouts, troop meetings, and PLC meetings, unless special arrangements are made in advance. We cannot operate as a scout-led troop without committed scout leaders.

 

Campout dates for spring 2012 are:

March 23-25; April 20-22; May 18-20.

 

In addition we will hold an overnight TLT campout over the evening of Friday Feb 17 through mid-afternoon on Saturday Feb 18. Further details will be announced. At that time we will plan our program for the next six months.

This will be the first meeting with the new Scouts.

This meeting will be held at First Colony Christian Church, as it is a school holiday.

30 minutes will be set aside for a safety talk in preparation for the firing range at Mauritz. 

While the new Scouts plan their menu for Mauritz, the first-year Scouts will learn the square lashing.

Friday, January 20-Sunday, January 22: Campout at Mauritz

Focus will be on First and Second Class preparation-fire safety, knife and axe safety, and orienteering will be taught.

A firing range will also be available.
